TIP FOR DIVORCING PARENTS – ALWAYS ACT IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE CHILDREN
The golden rule in divorce proceedings is that the best interests of the children are of paramount importance. Their best interests come first, even if it may not strictly be what you would want or prefer. Never use the children as pawns, bargaining chips, or as messengers between the two of you. The divorce process affects everybody, and you need to prioritise them in this process. Consider whether they should attend a psychologist/play therapist to help them cope.
